Sharing the profound power of art and music to strengthen communities!

My secret weapon? YOU got it too.

All I know is that I was so scared I would not do a good job. Like, "Why did Jehovah choose me?"

That's exactly why this win was so important. Recently, I had the privilege of creating a work of art for The Chicago Funds 10th Anniversary gala. "Man oh Man", I was under pressure - a had a week to do the turnaround. See the pictures with this post. Yes, it was hard - I felt blind and also felt like my mindset was being tested.

It proved to be my secret weapon.

Have you ever been in a similar position? Like all of your anxiety and low-energy came out all at the same time. Huh??? When you're under this type of pressure, you either fold or rise up to meet the occasion. Thank you Lord for helping me meet the occasion.

As an Interdisciplinary Artist with multiple modes of expression, I get the joy of singing (yesterday's focus) or painting (this week's focus).

Yes, I stepped into the good Lord's "talent line" twice.

And I have no shame or pride about that. I have been given a gift. That week, I was also able to audition for The Voice. I did not move forward in the competition, but I learned how to grow in my confidence, rely and trust God's timing.

Back to the painting mentioned above. I did finish the painting and delivered it with the help of my husband Michael. That brother was my hero--we delivered it in the rain --with no umbrella. Ha!

In conclusion, we ALL can do hard things afraid. We ALL can overcome.

God has us!

Believe it!
